Kelcey Maksymchuk, CPA
Kelcey was born and raised in the Battlefords and always felt that she would return after completing her post-secondary education. Kelcey was employed with the firm during the summer of 2013, and it was then that she realized her interest in working with owner managed businesses and non-profit organizations. The opportunity to build relationships with clients and gain experience in a wide variety of areas such as taxation, assurance and advisory services, is why she decided to move back to the Battlefords, and continue working at Swanson Gryba and Company.
She is a graduate of the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan, where she majored in accounting. In 2017 after completing the Chartered Professional Accounting program, Kelcey earned her Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
In her spare time, Kelcey enjoys staying active through playing various sports, attending social events with her family and friends, listening to country music and travelling with her husband.
Q and A
Q. At what store would you like to max out your credit card?
A. Home Sense - I love interior decorating and changing my home décor
Q. If you could play any Olympic/professional sport what would it be?
A. I love and play multiple sports so it is very hard for me to choose just one.
For winter events I will go with figure skating and for a summer event I would choose fastball. I played both sports for 14 years growing up and I would love to compete in them again.
Q. What is your biggest pet peeve?
A. When people misspell my name
Q. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
A. Somewhere hot where I could lay on the beach every day because I hate being cold and the beach is the most relaxing place you could be.
Q. If you could have any super power what would it be and why?
A. 100% time travel. As much as I love vacations and going to new places I hate long travel days so if I could snap my fingers and be where I needed, life would be a whole lot better!
