Jackie was born and raised in North Battleford. She tried to move away a few times, but kept being pulled home. She eventually married a farmer, which sealed her fate, and made North Battleford her permanent home. Together they have two beautiful daughters, who keep them both busy and entertained. Jackie has always loved numbers, solving problems and working with people. She feels lucky to have found a job where she gets to do all three.
Q and A
Q. If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only have three things with you, what would they be and why did you choose them?
A. I would bring a good book - so that I would have something to do to pass the time and then after I was done reading I could use the pages to help start a fire.
Bug spray - because I really can't stand bugs!!
And a raft so that when I got bored I could just leave.
Q. If there was a reality show about your life, what would it be called?
A. A day in the life as a farmer's wife - if you think farming ain't easy, try being married to one!
Q. If you could make one rule that everyone had to follow, what rule would you make?
A. I would make Karma a real thing. If you did something nice for someone that something nice would happen back, and if you did something to hurt someone the same thing would happen to you.
Q. If you were alive 100 years ago, and you could invent anything that already exists today. What would you invent and why?
A. I would invent indoor plumbing. I would invent that because outhouses stink!
Q. If I could go back in time I would tell my younger self…
A. I would tell my younger self to be in no hurry to grow up, but knowing my younger self I wouldn't listen anyway.
